In addition to my work with clients, I am an Associate Professor of Counseling at California State University Fullerton where I teach trauma-informed graduate level classes in Counseling. Currently, I live in Long Beach with my partner Mike and dog Kodie. For fun, I enjoy travel, spending time outdoors, and performing improv in the Long Beach community!

Why I became a Therapist:
Growing up gay with undiagnosed ADHD in a small town in the Midwest, I know what its like moving through the world feeling different and not having the language to understand why. My whole life I have been drawn to helping people which initially led me to a career in higher education where I found myself wanting to do more to help my students. This curiosity eventually led me to a second career in counseling. I often describe finding this career as a "homecoming" because I feel in love with exploring different healing approaches that can help people reconnect to themselves in deeper ways.
My Therapeutic Approach
My approach to therapy is relational, Feminist, trauma-informed, experiential, and deeply collaborative. I integrate approaches that includes EMDR, Integrative Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Therapy to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and nervous system are linked together.
I work to help you develop a greater connection with yourself, heal past wounds, and create more freedom to live in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
