In the therapy room I'm warm, conversational, and genuine. I don't believe therapy has to feel overly formal or clinical to be effective, and humor often finds its way into sessions when it feels natural. I enjoy getting to know each client as a whole person rather than reducing them to a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends in nature, being creative, and finding opportunities to slow down and enjoy everyday life. Those parts of who I am tend to show up in my work as well: I value connection, curiosity, authenticity, and helping people feel comfortable being themselves.

Why I became a Therapist:
I became a therapist because I have always been interested in understanding why people feel, think, and respond the way they do. I wanted a career that allowed me to build meaningful relationships while helping people feel more understood and more capable of navigating difficult experiences.
One of the most rewarding parts of this work is helping clients make sense of patterns that once felt confusing or overwhelming, develop a more compassionate understanding of themselves, and gain skills that create meaningful change in their day-to-day lives. With children and teens especially, I value being able to provide a space where they can feel accepted for who they are while developing confidence, flexibility, and emotional awareness.
Describe your therapeutic approach and what makes it unique?
My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, with treatment tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, grief work, and play and expressive therapies.
Therapy with me is not just about talking about what is difficult. We work to understand patterns, build practical coping and emotional regulation skills, and gradually practice responding differently to situations that create anxiety, avoidance, frustration, or self-doubt. With children, I incorporate play and creative interventions so therapy feels natural and developmentally appropriate. With teens and adults, sessions often combine insight, humor, skill-building, and concrete strategies that can be used in real life.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely comfortable with their therapist, so I aim to create a space that is supportive and validating while still helping clients move toward meaningful change.
Payments & Fees:
As a specialist, Allie offers private pay therapy services and can provide a superbill for clients with PPO insurance plans who wish to use out-of-network benefits. Many clients choose this option and receive partial reimbursement directly from their insurance. Her fees are $215 for individual sessions and $230 for couples / co-parenting sessions.
