Why I became a Therapist:
I struggled mentally and emotionally growing up and my school counselor was one of the first adults that showed me that they cared. If it were not for her presence and guidance in my life, I do not know where I would be today. When I thought about a career and something I would be privileged and proud to do with my life, I thought of how much of an impact my counselor had on me. I knew then that I wanted to be a caring hand for others, just as she was for me.
