I use a therapeutic approach that integrates psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and humanistic models to best meet the needs of my clients depending on where they are in their mental health journey and the issues they want to address. I work with individuals and couples, helping clients strengthen relationships, improve communication, navigate life transitions, and create meaningful change.
My experience as a Chinese American woman and my previous career in social justice education have provided me with an understanding of how the oppressive structures in our society contribute to people’s internal and external conflicts, as well as the impact of current and historical trauma on our sense of self and belonging. I also speak conversational Mandarin and provide bilingual therapy for clients who speak both Mandarin and English.
I bring a lifetime of insight and experience to my work with clients that allows me to both relate to their experiences and guide them in identifying their strengths and building upon them to heal, grow, and cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others.
