Why I became a Therapist:
I became a therapist because I believe in the power of early support and healing. Throughout my work in outpatient clinics, IOPs, and residential treatment centers, I’ve seen how much children can grow when given the right tools in a safe, supportive environment. These experiences inspired me to specialize in child and family therapy—where I can meet kids where they are developmentally and help them feel seen, heard, and understood. My background in trauma-focused care and family systems allows me to create individualized approaches that integrate play, emotional expression, and family involvement. Whether working with a four-year-old or a teen, I’m passionate about helping children build resilience and thrive, both in therapy and in life.
Describe your therapeutic approach and what makes it unique?
My therapeutic approach is integrative, compassionate, and tailored to each child’s developmental stage and emotional needs. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), while also incorporating creative, child-friendly modalities like expressive art and play therapy. This combination allows me to engage children and teens in a way that feels safe, accessible, and empowering. I focus on helping them explore and reframe the thoughts and feelings that contribute to emotional outbursts, anxiety, withdrawal, or low self-esteem. Whether I’m guiding a young child through emotional expression or helping an adolescent process complex life experiences, my goal is to support healing, build resilience, and strengthen their sense of self.
Payments & Fees:
As a specialist, Allie offers private pay therapy services and can provide a superbill for clients with PPO insurance plans who wish to use out-of-network benefits. Many clients choose this option and receive partial reimbursement directly from their insurance. Her fees are $215 for individual sessions and $230 for couples / co-parenting sessions.
