Dr. Eric Price has a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Central Florida, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of North Texas. Eric has worked with a variety of clients across the lifespan on issues pertaining to sexual and gender identity, career development, depression, anxiety, bereavement, and trauma. Most recently, Eric was trained in EMDR, an evidence-based treatment for trauma.
Working primarily from a Humanistic and Feminist lens, Eric strives to create a safe and warm environment while recognizing the ways his client’s intersectional or marginalized identities impact their lived experiences. Eric hopes to help all clients develop new insights into their lives and to learn new strategies to meet their goals while “unlearning” thoughts and behaviors that create distress. Eric also values the power of creativity and infuses various expressive arts modalities into the therapeutic process.
In addition to seeing clients in the Long Beach office, Eric teaches graduate level counseling courses at California State University Fullerton. In his spare time, Eric enjoys traveling, cooking, running on the beach, and spending quality time with his partner and dog Rocko!
Eric is currently a Registered Associate LPCC (#7135), a Registered Associate MFT (#116791), and currently working under the direct supervision of licensed clinical social work supervision Daniel Brezenoff (#23543)
